Hello I am Graham Rees Evans- your Welfare & Student Rights Officer 09/10

I can be your first port of call within the SU for all non-academic gripes and concerns ranging from sexual health, through to housing problems, homesickness, and discrimination of any kind. I certainly won’t always have the answers, but I will be able to point you towards the right people or organisations to get the help that you need. You can also stop by my office any time to pick up free condoms, dental dams, drink stoppers & personal attack alarms.

Here at the Union we all hope you have a great time studying at SMU - socially as well as academically, but Uni life can also be tough: with so many pressures and new experiences it’s easy (and totally normal!) to feel a bit overwhelmed from time to time!  Please remember that both emotional and practical support is available both from us at the SU.

We have all been through life as a student at SMU, and survived so don’t feel alone – if there is anything troubling you, or you just fancy a chat, then pop in to the Union office in Mount Pleasant and have a chat and a cup of tea.  I might even have chocolate biscuits on offer…!
