Hi I’m Eoin your Student Activities Officer.
For those of you who are starting out on the journey of student life, I know it can be a scary thought moving away from home. Some may be moving in with friends, others find themselves living with strangers.

I was in the same boat four years ago, coming across from Ireland not knowing anyone. But these strangers that I had to live with have become some of my best friends; we have shared some amazing times and have great memories together from our time at Swansea Met.

hope you guys and girls will have as much fun with your new found friends as I did. Remember the Students Union is here for you through your academic and social life as well

As your SAO my role is to provide entertainment and activities throughout the year, from organising Fresher’s Fortnight to one off events like Halloween or Christmas parties. I am also in charge of running the sports teams and societies.

There are a range of teams and societies to get involved in at Swansea Met be it Football or Rugby, Dance or Rock Climbing just to name a few.

However, if you don’t see something you like, then you can start up your own team, club or society.
Just drop into my office on Mount Pleasant Campus and tell me what you want and I will do my best to help you out.
